Representatives of Uyghur organizations meet with Dutch Foreign Ministry officials

On April 19, Representatives of Uyghur organizations in the Netherlands met with Dutch Foreign Ministry official Mr. Lawrence and the country’s human rights ambassador, Ms. Bahia Tahzib, Uyghur Times Uyghur Edition reports.


 

 

 

On April 19, Representatives of Uyghur organizations in the Netherlands met with Dutch Foreign Ministry official Mr. Lawrence and the country’s human rights ambassador, Ms. Bahia Tahzib, Uyghur Times Uyghur Edition reports.

 

The meeting began with Ms. Qalbinur Siddique’s testimony about the atrocities inside a Chinese internment camp. Dutch Uyghurs expressed their gratitude to the Dutch parliament’s recognition of the Uighur genocide. The speaker boldly expressed her dissatisfaction with how China separates Uyghurs in exile from their family members back home.

 

Delegates heard about the plight of Uyghur detainees in Saudi Arabia, Morocco, and Thailand. The Uyghurs called on the Dutch government to take practical steps to rescue them. At the end of the meeting, the Uyghur groups presented the delegates presented several reports on the Uyghur genocide.
