On September 9, the Uyghur community in Japan lit a bonfire to commemorate the publication of the book “My Uyghur Youth” by Mahmut, a well-known Uyghur activist who has long engaged in political activities in Japan, Uyghur Times Uyghur edition reports.

The Asian Liberal Democratic Unity Council hosted the event at Seiro Hall, and many Japanese politicians and intellectuals who care about the local Uyghurs, attended.

This book sheds light on the life, culture, and political destiny of the Uyghur people, and it is based on Mr. Ishma’s memories of his youth and what he saw in the motherland.
