China uses the Olympics to push its propaganda that Taiwan is a part of China. Beijing intends to call Taiwan the Chinese Taipei and display pro-unification messages. It plans to feature Taiwanese volunteers in propaganda videos, the official said.

China has, in the past, boycotted sporting events hosted by Taiwan.
