Uyghurs in exile are demanding Michelle Bachelet, UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, release the long-due Uyghur Report, meet with victim families and allow them to meet with her before her planned trip to their occupied homeland. If she fails to act, she must resign.

Program & Advocacy Manager of World Uyghur Congress (WUC), Zumret Erkin, kicked off the rally by highlighting the failure of the OHCHR to release the report on East Turkistan and consult with victims.

WUC President, Dolkun Isa, reminded the OHCHR’s mandate to remain independent and accurately assess human rights violations committed against the Uyghurs.

There were calls for Bachelet to resign if she failed to act.
