Uighur Times, on behalf of the Uighur people, would like to express our utmost gratitude to the 22 UN member states which signed the joint statement to the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights to call on China to stop the mass incarceration of Uighurs, respect the rights of the Uighur people, and allow UN experts to access the Uighur region for independent investigation. We also thank the 22 nations for speaking up defending justice and humanity.
We, the Uighur people, will remember the 22 countries in our history for voicing over the oppressed Uighur nation. We appreciate all the countries for standing with us at this historical critical time when Uighur nation is under existential threat and Uighurs are struggling to make our voice heard.
Nevertheless, we would like to remind you all that the current situation of Uighurs and other Turkic people in East Turkistan are most likely far worse than what is known to the outside world. At the same time, we ask all nations to take more urgent and decisive actions to save the Uighur people who are suffering from secret massacres and cultural genocide at this very moment.
Sincerely,
Uighur Times Board of Directors
