A magnitude 7.01 earthquake hit the Kyrgyzstan-“Xinjiang” border region on Tuesday, Associate Press reports. The quake was at a depth of 10 km.
Recently, the Chinese “Caixin Net” published a special report about a young man in the Uyghurs’ homeland, who, six years ago, fell into a coma and eventually died after being subjected to police torture during interrogation. The young man, Sun Renze, was reportedly a victim of inhumane treatment by the police, and the details of his ordeal were made public.
