On Friday, September 30, 2022, as part of a meeting organized by the Society for Threatened Peoples, the Payot bookstore in Geneva welcomed two women survivors of Chinese concentration camps. Mrs. Gulbahar Jalilova and Mrs. Gulbahar Haitiwaji lived through the hell of the Chinese internment camps and came to testify before the Geneva public. It was a meeting from which one could not leave as one entered.

China celebrated a victory in the United Nations and thanked Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and other countries for their support against the Uyghur motion in the UN Human Rights Council.
The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement saying: “Today, the eyes of the international community have been opened, as the enemy forces led by the United States and Great Britain have for a long time been attempting to halt China’s development. Many Muslim countries have always supported China, which shows that China’s ‘Xinjiang’ policy is correct, and the American conspiracy to restrict China will not succeed.”
Debate on Uyghur human rights not approved by UN Human Rights Council

On October 6, The United Nations High Council on Human Rights in Geneva introduced the draft resolution on Uyghur human rights to the 47 member countries for a vote jointly signed by Western countries led by the United States.
The result: 17 countries agreed, 19 countries objected, and 11 countries abstained. The resolution did not pass.

The Fifth East Turkistan National Unity Council Meeting and the 14th World East Turkistan Brotherhood Meeting are taking place in Istanbul from from October 1st to 4th.
Hidayatullah Oghuzhan, the President of the International Association of Eastern Turkistan Organizations reported on this year’s meeting and national unity council. The meeting attracted hundreds of Uyghur activists and religious leaders, the representatives of East Turkestan organizations, public figures and academics.
Indonesia deports Uyghur convict to China
