Aziz Hajim, an Uyghur religious scholar, public figure, and the person in charge of the Urumqi Khantangri mosque reconstruction, passed away in Urumqi on Friday, October 7, at the age of 102, Uyghur Times Uyghur Edition reports.
Aziz Hajim, an Uyghur religious scholar, public figure, and the person in charge of the Urumqi Khan Tengri Mosque (also known as Khan Tengger) reconstruction, passed away in Urumqi on Friday, October 7, at the age of 102.
The news of his death first appeared on the social media account of the deceased scholar’s daughter.
