In a short video shared on Twitter, Chinese leader Xi said that during the Covid period, he gave all the instructions within the scope of Covid measures.

 

During the meeting with the head of the World Health Organization, Ghebreyesus, Xi said that the Chinese government attaches great importance to people’s health and then emphasized that he has been personally directing and deploying the pandemic prevention and control work (zero COVID lockdown).

The Standing Committee of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region Party Committee, chaired by Ma Xingrui, the Committee Secretary, gathered on the morning of November 26. It studied how to implement “General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important work on epidemic prevention and control”, a Chinese media outlet reports.

100-day lockdown in Urumqi apartment block results in deadly fire

A fire broke out in an apartment in Urumqi city, the capital of the Chinese-occupied East Turkestan (Xinjiang). The authorities say an 

extension of the electrical outlet caused the fire.

 

The region where the fire occurred is the district of Tanrıdağ (TianShan Qu), where the Uighurs live collectively. The Chinese state media 

announced that ten people lost their lives and nine were injured. However, there are posts on social media platforms that this number is 

more than 40.

On November 25 the Information Office of the People’s Government of Urumqi, Xinjiang, held a press conference to introduce the situation of the “11.24” fire accident.

 

The local government said: “There is no wire binding problem in the community; all the doors of the residents in the building are not closed, and the pictures posted on the Internet are malicious splicing.”, according to QQ News, one of the largest portals that follow the government narrative.

China to introduce national, interconnected, electronic health codes by 2025

China will establish a new, unified, interconnected national health data platform by 2025, which will – among other things – share everyone’s medical information with all the hospitals. The electronic health code will differ from present digital QR codes that track people’s Covid-test records and travel history. The new platform is built on the pre-pandemic digital health records of all residents, Chinese health authorities announced last week, according to Beijing Business Daily.
