4 Paradigm: Created AI for the Chinese military’s autonomous weapons systems.
-BGI_Genomics collected genetic data from Americans for use in research with the Chinese military.
– Semiconductor chips for Phytium, which enables Beijing manufacture nuclear and hypersonic weapons.
– Daqo (Owner of Xinjiang Daqo New Energy): Produces polysilicon, the primary raw material needed for semiconductors and solar cells, using Uyghur forced labor.
– Intellifusion: Created facial recognition technology used to track Uyghurs in Xinjiang.
– GGV Capital invested in PRC-based AI company Megvii, which actively helps Beijing to profile and track Uyghurs.
-GSR Ventures invested in Chinese AI companies between 2015 and 2021, according to a recent report by the Center for Security and Emerging Technology. These Ventures risk transferring critical know-how from the U.S. to China.
-Qualcomm Ventures invested in Zongmu, a PRC-based firm focused on self-driving vehicles.
-Walden’s AI investments invested in Intellifusion, an AI company that the Commerce Department placed on its Entity List for enabling PRC surveillance of Uyghurs in their Homeland.
