Chinese authorities have arrested four young Tibetan women from Dhartsedho County in eastern Tibet for joining in a protest against the Chinese government's "zero-covid policy" restrictions in the city of Chengdu, The Tibet Post reports.

The four young women: Zamkar, Dechen, Kalsang Dolma, and Delha, had worked in a hotel in Chengdu before joining the protests and the subsequent arrests by the Chinese authorities.

The Chinese authorities accused the young women of participating in numerous protests against the government's "zero-covid policy" restrictions in Chengdu and arrested them on December 5, 2022.
